 Very good freeware!Database columns are very useful. And, downloading jacket imege function surprises me.If a function to export csv records is implemented, OrangeCD Player is perfectly fitted to my needs.
Not too hard ... to install, as long as you have Admin rights. Otherwise, Windows will whine about the registry entries. That seems true for most programs these days. The program worked as-is on installation, and you can't beat that.A minor issue with the interface is that it's located with the devices and resident programs, where I didn't quite expect it. That's probably more a difference in design philosophies than a problem.

Better looking than Windows Media Player I like it better than Windows media Player as I like to see the track that is playing while I am doing other things on computer. I was looking for a CD player that lets me fast-forward within each track not just skip a track. My CD player on Windows 98 has that capablity. I will keep looking. Gayle

 Unsure about whether it works properly. It seems to work well getting wave files off CD's, which are really not THAT big anymore, compared to the hassles of bothering to make mp3's which will eventually become outdated. Waves files seem to 'rip fast and well, and without any problems. HOWEVER, I DID happen to make a few mp3's to compare against other programs and noticed a blurry sound. Wife's computer ( the music server ) has an old AMD Athlon XP. It was using Digital music access off both of the Optical drives, so who knows why it would do that. A different program did NOT ...
pas mal a correct ripper but some other are free and make exactly the same thing
Automatic ripping? I was looking for a ripping program that would allow you to simply insert a CD and the program would do the rest. Like Media Player does (except I couldn't choose mp3 128 kbps in my media player!). MP3 CD Ripper could for some reason not get the CD track info from the database and you had to manually start the ripping process for each CD - which is a little annoying when you are going to convert your entire CD collection of 400 CDs to mp3...

Needed 2.2 - was forced to make do with 2.1 I was under the impression to download a trial version of Ace Media layer 2.2 which was advertised to be able to reformat mov-videos. But the version I was forced to download was 2.1, which cannot deal with mov-videos. It was therefore useless for my purposes, and promptly uninstalled. Thus, cannot say anything about the version Ace Media Player 2.2.
